Finlandia Hall offers onshore visitors an inspiring and enriching cultural experience in the heart of Helsinki. This iconic landmark designed by Alvar Aalto is a home to diverse events and the immersive Finlandia Exhibition, a multisensory exploration of Finnish creativity, nature, and design heritage.
Aalto’s Architectural Masterpiece
Designed by world‑famous architect Alvar Aalto, Finlandia Hall stands beside the tranquil Töölönlahti Bay, just minutes from central Helsinki. As the name indicates, Finlandia Hall was designed to be a symbol for Finland, and its gleaming white marble facade and organic forms make it one of the most beautiful buildings in Helsinki. The building was inspired by European cultural tradition, resembling Venetian palaces by the water, and its futuristic look hasn’t lost its appeal over the decades.

The immersive Finlandia Exhibition
The Finlandia Exhibition invites visitors on a multisensory journey through the creativity of Alvar, Aino, and Elissa Aalto, alongside stories of Finland’s landscapes, history, and design heritage. The Exhibition consists of five immersive spaces where visitors can experience the captivating story of the Aaltos, Finnishness and women’s impact on design. It takes them from the opening notes of the Finlandia hymn to the powerful light and forest spaces that emphasize the importance of nature. The story reveals the significance of networks and collaboration for success and ultimately leads directly to the sources of creativity.
