The cruise vessels that arrive to Port of Mariehamn will pass a beautiful archipelago for 4 nautical miles.

After pilot embarkation at Lighthouse Marhällan, the vessel will pass the old pilot station Kobba Klintar. When Port of Mariehamn is visible, the first quay insight is quay number 6. Most vessel calls to Port of Mariehamn are made by ferries that operate on timetables. Most calls occur early morning, in the afternoon between 13:00-15:00, and during the night. These ferries call quay number 3-6.

Port of Mariehamn has one quay designated for international cruise vessles and that is quay number 1-2. The quay has its own passenger terminal with wifi, toilets and tourist information service. The excursion buses leave in front of the terminal.

Port of Mariehamn is a small and exclusive port welcoming only one cruise vessel at a time, offering cruise ships a personal, efficient and tailor-made services.

First call first served applies at all times, and we welcome cruise vessels in all seasons.

Vessels up to 220m lenght and maximum draught 7.3m can be moored in quay 1-2.

Port-specific information

The fairway leading from Mariehamn pilot station to the port area is two-way, but regular liner traffic has priority.
Cruise vessels calling Port of Mariehamn must therefore adapt their arrival and departure to liner traffic schedules (4 liner calls / day). Max. draught in the fairway is 7.8m.
Harbour pilotage is not compulsory, sea pilotage is compulsory. The use of tugboat is not mandatory unless otherwise stated by the port. Cruise vessels to order tugs via the agent.
